I was first elected to Offaly County Council in 2014 and I am proud to be an elected Councillor but my involvement with Fine Gael has been lifelong.

I’m married to Elaine, and we have a two-year-old son, Percy. Becoming a parent has given me a greater understanding of the challenges facing young families, the need for affordable childcare and healthcare, the importance of accessible education for all children and fairness in our communities.

With a Degree in Business Studies and a Master’s in Marketing, I’ve used my education to benefit the community and develop projects such as Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Trails and Birr Primary Care Centre. Since moving back to Kinnitty in 2010, I’ve expanded our family business, Giltraps Pub Townhouse Glamping, resulting in job creation and boosting the local economy.

As a Councillor, I’ve worked to improve services, support community groups, and address important issues like Just Transition, farming supports, affordable housing, and better roads. As a TD, I will be focused on backing small businesses, attracting more jobs to Offaly, putting more money back in your pocket, and ensuring an even better deal for all in Rural Ireland.

With my experience, enthusiasm and energy, I’m ready to represent Offaly as your Fine Gael TD in Dáil Éireann and I am asking for your number 1 vote in the upcoming General Election.
